Sano City in Tochigi (North of Tokyo) isn't a big city...but it's one that deeply loves its ramen.
Sano Ramen is lightly seasoned with a beautiful soy sauce, which holds up an equally delicate pure, tasting soup. The toppings are a nice treat - big bamboo shoots, green spring onions, and a big 'ol slab of pork. But the most special feature are most thick and flat noodles - a Sano speciality!
- Boil 430 ml of water
- Open lid (without removing completely)
- Place toppings in dark blue packet on top of noodles
- Pour boiled water up to line, seal lid and place dark green (soup) on top to heat
- After 5 minutes, break up noodles, mix soup, pour in dark green and clear packets, and you're ready!
